Hobbyists again! Gifted girls and guys from Bückeburg (the middle of nowhere) playing tunes by Horace Silver, Alphonze Mouzon, Joe Sample, Ian Carr and Kenny Dorham. Plus these two self penned jams. Disco Swing is the notable among these two. Song For My Father and Come Into My Life are sthe strongest tracks in the batch of covers with an incredibly soulful sound for whiteys from the middle of Germany's nowhere. The sound is a bith thin since is was recorded in a school, but this is actually a lot more charming than disturbing ;)

A 3-Record set recorded live in Stuttgart, Germany 1978. The first side is straight Dixie shizzle and I can't listen to that longer than 5 minutes unless it's sunday morning and I'm already drunk and in company of 75 year old dancers. From side B on it's getting more and more interesting. My personal highlight is the last record. Opened by Peter Garratoni & Friend's amazing jam Rock For Li - followed by Syncrisis and Frederic Rabold jamming with percussionist Manfred Kniel. On Side F we find the complete unknown group Baobab with the incredible spiritual jazz funk tune Keine Nummer - rocking it over 6 minutes. The next group Muja is just as famous and they kick ass as well. Jan Jankeje and his Mlada Muzika crew are closing the set with two short but wicked drum and bass psalms. Also in the VERY LONG clip: Blowin Five by Styx, So What by Flute Jazz and A Night In Stuttgart by the Stuttgarter Jazz Workshop with Ala Heiler (À la Ala) on sax & microphone.

Forming the trippy Weather Report vibe to a more spiritual body, still playful and incredibly percussive. Sister and brother understand each other very well!!

Percussive and spiritual indian influenced Fusion made in Germany. The short lived group only released this one EP and it's getting very hard to find. An album was announced but never came. Too bad!! (also too bad that the guys never replioed to any of the emails) That album might have a been a huge GEM. This EP already is - all three tracks are great. Kaharwa and Der Ring Des Berbers are over eight minutes for extended listening pleasures. Power recommended!!

Nicest copy of this uncommon jazz gem. All players are coming from a dixie or ragtime background. Nevertheless they have been playing with great names such as Mal Waldron or the local hero Joe Haider. When i discovered this i didn't expect much since the tunes are adaptions of german folk songs, but right the first track showed me that i was misdirected. Two of the four songs are fantastic modern jazz compositions. This is the original first issue with the foldout cover
