TUBBS! did I think out LOUD when first encountering this album a couple of years ago. With amusement (caused by the look in his eyes on the cover) I tested if the music was any good. I mean Tubbs - he was a detective driving around with that slick guy in a white Testarossa. But he was also that guy whose name's in the title of my favorite (and very romantic) tune on Hammer's soundtrack ... CONVINCED! Needle does and immediately these sweet reggae / modern soul hybrids embraced me and Tubbs was gone forever! Hi Philip - great album :)

Another oddity from germany. But for a change - one with an unbeatable cover ;) Second Skin are trying their luck on various styles and they succed in transporting the fun they had when playing the tunes. Free and fresh! Apart from the DIY Boogie number in the video (2nd link) this seldom seen album also holds a Santana style latin rock number as well a cod reggae jam. It was hard to pick a fave here...
